March 14-20
Brooks and I headed down to Ventura, California for Spring Break! We were so excited to actually have a whole week off together and to be able to spend it with family! We didn't have a lot planned when we went down, which was nice.
We went to Point Mugu to check out the beach. Point Mugu is a Naval Base as well as a beach. While we were there, they were filming a movie so we couldn't walk around as much as we wanted to.

Before we went to California, we requested tickets for the Dr. Phil show. We were so excited that we were able to get 4 tickets. We headed to Hollywood with Brooks' two sisters to be in the audience of 2 Dr. Phil shows! It was the highlight of our trip! We are excited for them to air in May and hopefully we will be on TV!
After the show, we decided to walk around Hollywood. I had never been there before so it was an awesome experience.

While we were in California, Brooks wanted to meet up with his best friend Paul and his wife and kid. We went out for sushi....which was amazing!! It was fun to meet Paul, who I have heard so much about, and his family.

We went downtown Ventura one day to do some shopping and to look at all the cool shops.
We spent a day at Venice Beach. It was my first time there and it was very interesting to say the least!

We had a great trip! We love going back to Brooks' hometown! We are already planning our next trip there this summer!
